The Law Society Chairman’s Gala Dinner was an evening of excellence and elegance, drawing together the finest legal minds from the High Court, Industrial Court, Ministry of Justice, office of the Ombudsman, the University of Botswana and corporate Botswana as a whole. Hosted by Director of Proceedings Ms Segolame Thaga and held at the opulent Travel Lodge Conference Centre, the venue was transformed into a breathtaking spectacle as guests graced the occasion draped in black with a touch of gold.
The highlight of the Chairman’s Gala Dinner was the UB Chancellor’s speech, H.E. Tebelelo Mazile-Seretse where she reflected on the theme “Delivering Excellence in the Preservation of Integrity within the Legal Profession.” She shared her vision for the future and honoured members of the bench and of the bar who continue to preserve the integrity of the legal profession.
This was followed by an award ceremony, recognising the best dressed legal professional in the room. Entertainment for the night included a live performance by FiFi Afrika, who gave us an engaging, entertaining and spectacular performance.
The Chairman, Mr Osegô Garebamono, and his Council thank members of the Society, the bench, media and the public for coming out in numbers to enjoy an evening of excellence in their finest attires.
