1. Pursuant to Section 65 of the Legal Practitioners Act No 13/96 and Resolution of the AGM in 2022, NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT the Annual General Meeting of the Law Society of Botswana will be held on Saturday, 25th November 2023 at 8:00 a.m. at the LSB Secretariat, Gaborone.
2. NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN THAT the business to be transacted at the Annual General Meeting shall be-;
2.1 confirmation of the minutes of the previous meeting;
2.2 consideration and adoption of the Chairman’s report
2.3 consideration and adoption of the audited annual financial statements of the Society;
2.4 consideration of any business, which the Council may deem expedient to submit to the meeting;
2.5 consideration of any special business of which due notice, as provided in Regulation 11.5, shall have been given by any member.
2.6 consideration of any business related to and arising out of the Agenda Items above.
3. NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN THAT in accordance with Regulation 11.2.4 as read in conjunction with Regulation 11.5, special business to be raised at the general meeting should be given to the Executive Secretary, in writing, at least twenty eight (28) clear days before the date of the meeting; that is by close of business on Friday 27th October 2023.
4. NOTICE IS FINALLY GIVEN THAT no other business will be considered at this meeting.
